Hey y’all!
This is my last week at the Stiles Farm for the summer. I attended the Beef Cow 706 class at Texas A&M University in College Station on Tuesday and Wednesday. The class was super informational about the beef cow industry and took you through all the steps of processing a beef cow from start to finish. We were put into small groups and learned how to grade live cattle and meat. During the class we also learned how to butcher the back and front quarters of the cow. The rest of the week back at Stiles Farm we worked on an electrical fence in the south pasture so we could later rotate the cows. The Stiles Farm Foundation has given me the best learning experience this summer and I now will be pursuing an agriculture career in my future. McKenzie Rodriguez Week 11 Last Blog
